FAQs
Getting Started
No — you can come directly to MoveSync without a referral or imaging. A thorough clinical assessment tells us what we need to know in most cases. If your presentation suggests that an X-ray, MRI, or specialist opinion would meaningfully change your treatment plan, we will advise you during your session and help you understand what to look for.
Having a scan report is useful if you have one — bring it along and we will explain what the findings mean in the context of how you are moving and what you are feeling. A scan result alone does not determine treatment at MoveSync.
Your first session is 45–60 minutes. We take a full history — not just the current pain, but how it started, what makes it worse, your previous treatment history, and your goals.
Your physiotherapist will assess how you move, identify restrictions or weaknesses, and explain clearly what they have found. You will leave with a clear understanding of what is driving your symptoms and a realistic treatment plan.
Please bring:
- Any MRI, X-ray, or scan reports (printed or digital)
- Previous physiotherapy records if available
- Comfortable clothing that allows movement assessment
- Videos of any exercise, sport, or movement that reproduces your symptoms
You do not need a referral letter or a formal diagnosis before attending.

Treatment & Recovery
Recovery depends on your condition, how long it has been present, and how your body responds to treatment. Every patient is different.
Most patients notice meaningful improvements within the first few sessions, whether that is reduced pain, improved movement, or greater clarity about the cause of their problem.
Your physiotherapist will provide a realistic recovery estimate after your assessment and update it as treatment progresses.
In many cases, yes.
Conditions such as disc bulges, rotator cuff injuries, ACL injuries, meniscus tears, and knee osteoarthritis often respond well to structured rehabilitation and progressive loading programmes.
At MoveSync, we will provide an honest assessment of whether conservative treatment is appropriate. If surgery is likely to be the better option, we will discuss that openly and guide you toward the appropriate next steps.
The techniques used at MoveSync overlap with both chiropractic and osteopathic approaches while remaining grounded within an evidence-based physiotherapy framework.
Treatment may include:
- Joint mobilisation
- Mulligan Concept
- Maitland mobilisation
- HVLA thrust techniques
- Craniosacral therapy
- Visceral manipulation
- Muscle Energy Technique
- Intra-oral osteopathic release
Every technique is selected based on your individual assessment and integrated with exercise rehabilitation for long-term results.
Yes.
Virtual consultations are available for patients who cannot attend in person, have relocated, or are travelling.
Online sessions are ideal for:
- Exercise progression
- Movement assessment
- Rehabilitation review
- Follow-up consultations
While hands-on treatment requires an in-person visit, virtual care can provide excellent continuity throughout rehabilitation.
Specialised Care & Why MoveSync
MoveSync offers a broader scope of treatment than standard physiotherapy clinics.
Dr. Mansi Shah holds an MPT in Orthopaedics and Sports along with multiple advanced fellowships and certifications covering osteopathy, manipulative therapy, fascial techniques, dry needling, kinesio taping, and neuro-myoskeletal approaches.
This allows access to advanced treatments including:
- Visceral manipulation
- Craniosacral therapy
- Intra-oral osteopathic release
- Stecco Fascial Manipulation
- PENS microcurrent needling
- Sport-specific return-to-play testing
Treatment outcomes depend on assessment quality, clinical reasoning, rehabilitation progression, and the techniques available to the therapist.
At MoveSync, assessment extends beyond the painful area to include movement patterns, fascial restrictions, kinetic chain dysfunctions, and contributing factors that may have been overlooked previously.
For patients who experienced only temporary relief elsewhere, a broader assessment and treatment approach can often uncover missing pieces.
