Strength, Performance & Physio-Led Fitness
Strength, Performance & Physio-Led Fitness
When pain has settled and basic mobility is back, the next step is to build real strength and confidence. Our physio-led programs bridge the gap between “finished with physio” and truly fit, strong, and ready for life or sport.
Most people stop rehab when pain reduces – that’s exactly when smart strength training matters the most. Our Strength, Performance & Physio-Led Fitness services combine physiotherapy knowledge with structured strength and conditioning so you can safely build muscle, protect your joints, improve performance, and reduce the risk of future injuries or relapses. This includes dedicated programs for general fitness, sports performance, and women’s health (diastasis recti, pelvic floor, postnatal return to fitness).
Who We Help with Strength & Physio-Led Fitness
his service is ideal if you:
- Have finished or are nearing the end of rehab (sports injury, surgery, chronic pain) and want a safe plan to get back to regular training or gym.
- Want to start or restart strength training but are not sure what is safe for your joints, spine, or heart/lungs.
- Play sport and want structured off-field strength and conditioning to improve performance and reduce injury risk.
- Have health conditions (arthritis, previous injury, early osteopenia/osteoporosis, controlled medical issues) and prefer supervised exercise rather than generic gym plans.
- Are a woman looking for a guided program for diastasis recti, pelvic floor strengthening/incontinence, or postnatal return-to-fitness.
Types of Physio-Led Strength & Fitness Programs
Return-to-Gym / Return-to-Exercise Programs
For those who’ve had a gap due to injury, surgery, work, or life events and want a graded plan to safely return to gym or fitness activities.
Strength & Conditioning for Sport and Performance
For athletes and regular players aiming to become stronger, faster, and more resilient—tailored to their sport, role, and season.
Women’s Health Strength Programs
Diastasis recti strengthening for better core support. Pelvic floor exercises to improve control and reduce leakage. Safe postnatal fitness to rebuild strength.
Physio-Led General Fitness & Healthy Ageing
Supervised strength, balance, and conditioning for adults and older adults who want to stay strong, independent, and active safely.
How We Assess Before Planning Your Program
Before we load your body, we make sure we understand:
- Current movement and strength – joint range, movement patterns, baseline strength, balance, and endurance
- Previous injuries and medical history – spine/joint issues, surgeries, cardiac or metabolic conditions, pregnancies, and any red flags
- Training history – what you’ve done before, what worked, and what caused issues
- Specific goals – from walking 5 km comfortably to lifting heavy, postnatal recovery, or pelvic floor strengthening
- Lifestyle and schedule – how many days you can realistically train and where (clinic, gym, or home)
Our Training Approach – Safe, Structured, Progressive
Technique First, Then Load
We teach correct movement patterns first squats, hinges, pushes, pulls, carries, core bracing, and breathing before adding resistance.
Individualised Strength Plans
Every program is tailored to your body, goals, and recovery capacity not a generic template.
Progressive Overload with Joint Safety
Load and complexity are increased gradually while monitoring joints, spine, and pelvic floor response.
Integration with Your Sport or Activities
Strength, power, and conditioning phases are aligned with your training or competition schedule.
Education and Self-Management
You’ll understand why you’re doing each exercise and how to adapt on good and bad days even when training independently.
Women’s Health:
Core, Diastasis Recti & Pelvic Floor Programs
Diastasis Recti Rehabilitation
Diastasis recti (abdominal separation) is common during pregnancy and postpartum. Physio-based programs improve function, core strength, and load management even if the gap doesn’t fully close. We assess your abdominal wall, breathing, posture, and movement, then guide targeted exercises for better control and strength.
Pelvic Floor Strengthening & Incontinence Programs
Pelvic floor training is a proven first-line treatment for stress urinary incontinence. We teach correct contraction and relaxation, build strength and endurance, and train “pre-activation” techniques to improve control during daily life and exercise.
Postnatal Return-to-Fitness
We guide you from early recovery to strength training and fitness—considering sleep, fatigue, and lifestyle demands. The goal is a strong, functional core and pelvic floor—not just appearance.
General Strength, Performance & Healthy Ageing
- For general adults, we design strength programs to improve energy, muscle mass, and resilience for long-term health.
- For older adults, supervised strength and balance training improves mobility, confidence, and reduces fall risk.
- For athletes, we create structured off-season and in-season programs aligned with performance goals.
